GOODNIGHT MONSTERS

Status: Manuscript completed and professionally edited

About: GOODNIGHT MONSTERS was inspired in part by the dark, dreary nights of new motherhood, yet it is far from a children’s bedtime book. The dark side of motherhood in THE PUSH meets the predatory nature of ANIMAL with a hint of MRS. MARCH’s instability in this psychological horror novel.

Southern suburban housewife Lia and her husband Evan have dreamed of becoming parents, but when Lia takes a positive pregnancy test, she questions whether she wants the child and keeps her pregnancy a secret. As she’s holding new life inside, she surrounds herself with death, blackmailing her way into a job at a forensic anthropology center endearingly called The Body Farm.

Monsters emerge from within her—the desire to kill—and Lia begins daydreaming about murder. Because fantasizing never hurt anyone. Or so she thinks. When a body donation to The Farm is someone she had imagined killing, reality and fantasy begin to blur. As more people around her begin to die, Lia loses trust in her loved ones and herself…and ultimately must put her monsters to bed.

MIND OVER MATTER

Status: Manuscript complete and professionaly edited. Full synopsis available.

About: THE ASTROLOGY HOUSE meets YOU ARE NOT ALONE and DOCTOR SLEEP

How far would you go to change the future if you could predict it?

After the passing of Sylvie’s mentally unstable grandmother, a sort of ESP (extra sensory perception) opens up inside of her. The constant, external noise of knowing quickly overwhelms, and she wonders if her grandmother suffered the burdens of this same…gift.

Sylvie questions her own mental health and isolates herself from others until she is taken in by a like-minded community—a magnetic, possibly polyamorous group of seasoned psychics who make a killing hosting sold-out, high-energy, personal growth events for the public. Through their guidance, and a little seduction, Sylvie begins to understand and thrive with her abilities. Until she learns they’re taking the future into their own hands based on premonitions.

Will Sylvie lean into their… family values? Or will their way of life drive her into isolation as it had her grandmother?

With themes of responsibility versus free will and the existential dread of psychological horror, MIND OVER MATTER will make you ponder your own moral boundaries.

About: BRIGHT YOUNG WOMEN meets YOUNG RICH WIDOWS with THELMA AND LOUISE vibes

Nothing brings people together like murder.

In a Greenville, South Carolina courtroom, Stephanie, the suppressed, robotic wife of a politician accused of murder, Lynne, the trailer trash addict sister of the victim, and Morgan, the recognizable young broadcast journalist covering the trial, sit next to each other during the opening proceedings, each woman having a vested interest in the outcome of the case.

These three women have more in common than it appears.

Together, they bend the law and the truth in hopes to eradicate their own past traumas, redefine who they are as individuals, and most importantly, to take back their power.

Three women. Two men. One goal. Revenge is a dish best SERVED.

MANIFESTATION

Status: Manuscript in progress

About: DARK MATTER plus NINE PERFECT STRANGERS with a touch of THE SECRET and The White Lotus vibes

When PR Specialists Jolie and her work bestie Corinne are assigned a 2-week stint at a high-end, all-inclusive, oceanfront retreat in the Florida Panhandle—practically a vacation—they lean fully into the resort’s offerings. To mitigate rumors of onsite pregnancy scandals and revive the reputation they were hired to do, of course.

Diving deep into daily meditation, connecting with her higher self, and learning to be present, Jo realizes she has more work cut out for her than she initially thought. As the meditation guide explores the ideas of manifestation with her, Jo tests that hullabaloo by asking for random objects—which seem to magically appear in her hotel suite. She then influences a surprising amount of outcomes, the most superficial and exhilarating being the confidence to ask out the hottie model from a poolside photo shoot for the new hotel brochure—and the fact that he says yes.

Slowly but surely, Jo realizes she has influence over greater things at the same time she’s discovering greater problems within the resort’s operations. Ethical, legal, obscene problems.

How far will Jo go with her newfound power to change the future—sorry, present—circumstances?
